EKG COURSE DESCRIPTION

Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG) provides valuable information to the cardiologist about the electrical activity in the heart. The EKG is a highly specialized and technical tool for assessing cardiac function and diagnosing cardiac disease and is a valuable addition to advancing your medical career. RCI's Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG) Technician Certification Course is a Nationally and California state approved Four-day ekg program in Garden Grove. This ekg course prepares students for cardiac monitoring including Holter, 12 Lead EKG, and Stress Testing. Successful completion of this course will qualify the student to sit for and take the ASPT (American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) national EKG certification examination.

This ekg course is a Four-day program designed for EKG/ECG Monitor Technicians and other allied health personnel working in Emergency departments, critical care units, post-anesthesia care units, operating rooms, and telemetry units . The material focuses on the essential information needed to interpret basic dysrhythmias.

At the end of the class, the participant will gain the knowledge and skill necessary to perform the tasks expected from an EKG courses in Garden Grove.
